Clutch Drum 78 mm ID with a welded 5/8" shaft and 3/8-24 male threads.
This fits our 18.75 to 1 gearbox.
The Clutch drum will come with the "lower" bearing and the two 5/8" snap rings on the shaft. Be sure and leave them on the shaft as they are used as spacers to lock the two inner races of the bearings together.
You have to remove one of the bearings so you can reach the snap ring.
Keep in mind we have a 1-3/8" Int. Snap ring in between the two bearings that hold them in place.
Below is the 12 tooth gear that threads on to the clutch drum.
Note: We have never, yes since 1984 have we never had to replace one of these 12 tooth gears and most every gearbox that we have sold is still working.
To remove the clutch drum, un screw the 12 tooth gear (standard right hand threads) use a 13/16" or 20 mm 12 point socket and an impact wrench to remove the 12 tooth gear or hold in a bench vise, then use an Oil Filter or Band style wrench to grab the OD of the clutch drum.
Note: If you are re using the clutch be sure and do not bend or dent.
Once the gear is off tap the shaft out towards the engine side, then use a punch with a flat point or a 1/4" bolt to tap the lower bearing out of the case.

Use one 5/8" machined washer as a spacer between the two bearing.

When you install the old drum or an New replacement drum, be sure and leave them on the shaft as they are used as spacers to lock the two inner races of the bearings together.
To remove the clutch drum, un screw the 12 tooth gear (standard right hand threads) use a 13/16" or 20 mm 12 point socket and an impact wrench to remove the 12 tooth gear or hold in a bench vise, then use an Oil Filter or Band style wrench to grab the OD of the clutch drum.

Lay the gearbox flat on a work beach then un-screw the 12 tooth gear.
Thread the 12 tooth gear back on the threaded end of the shaft about 4 to 8 threads, then tap the 12 tooth gear, it will push the shaft out and the gear keeps the threads from getting messed up. The 3/8-24 threaded shaft out towards the engine side, (down to the table) then use a punch with a flat point or a 1/4" bolt, tapping side to side of the LOWER bearing out of the case.
Once the lower bearing is out you can press the top bearing out.
Press in the top bearing, then press in the clutch drum that has the new bearing and two 5/8” Ext. Snap rings as used as spacers. The two 5/8” snap rings take up the space of the 1-3/8” Int. snap ring so when the 12 tooth gear is screwed on to the shaft it will keep the two inner bearing races spinning together.
Place a drop of thread locked on the 3/8-24 threads first, then screw on the 12 tooth gear.
