Gearbox 6.25 to 1 reduction # 40-79 Jacobson Self Propelled Lawn Mower transmission Worm Drive

Used on some Front wheel drive Lawn mowers with engines up to 7 hp.

Can be used to reduce the output speed on small 2 & 4 cycle engines or electric motors. Great part to build your own fun motorized product.

Alum. Case made for Jacobson & others, Long Axle is 14-1/4" & short axle is 3". Axle dia. is 9/16" overall length 20-5/8". Input shaft is 5/8" OD and the small pulley is about 1-7/8" OD. It's about a 6.25 to 1 reduction, worm gear type gear reduction box. 

Max Speed Input: 3200 RPM
Max Output Torque: 44 In. Lbs
Gear Ratio: 6.25:1

The lever will engage and disengage the drive system.

Some of these may have some light rust. 

Also make sure and check the 80 - 90 wt gear oil in the gear box befor using. 

To check or add oil remove the NPT pulg. 

The gear box is about 4" x 4" x 4" plus the shaft(s).
