1" OD x 2-3/4" Long Output Shaft.  If your max engine rpm is 3,600 div. by 16.07 = 224 rpm

This can be used to make a Post Hole Auger, Drill Water Wells ect.

It has a 16.07 to 1 reduction gearbox for some Vertical Shaft Engines like the:
Subaru EA190V 5.5 HP 189cc Vertical 7/8" Shaft Four Cycle Engine. 


The Briggs and Stratton with the short shaft uses a 2.01" long sleve, and may work with some other brands of engines. 

To make sure the engine, clutch rotor, clutch drum and all connecting parts match up buy the engine from us.  If not, be sure and let us know what engine you are wanting to use and we will try to make sure it will mount to that engine.

This Heavy Duty gearbox is CNC machined out of 6061-T6 Aluminum.

It has Seven High Speed, Double Sealed Ball bearings. 


It has a 1” OD output shaft with a 5/16” thru hole and has a Timken Seal around the shaft.

The shaft is made out of 4140 and zinc plated. The output shaft is held in place with three high speed double sealed ball bearings.

 The shaft is held in place with two 1" Heavy Duty Ext. Snap rings so force can be pushed or pulled on.    


The two main bearings are 1” ID x 2” OD.  They are double stacked and are held in place with two 2” Internal snap rings. 
The third bearing is a 5/8” ID x 1-3/8” OD x 7/16" width.

Lubrication: Mobil Grease XHP 220 Series.  It should have 8 to 10 oz.  Do not over fill.  

Has a 1/4" NPT Plug to Vent pressure (it has a 1/16" hole drilled in the plug) and can also be removed to check and add the Mobil Grease XHP 220 Series if needed.

The gearbox has two 3/16" x 3/4" long location pins to hold the gear centers.

We use Twelve (12) 1/4-20 x 2-1/4" long Socket Head Cap Screws to hold the two half's together.

The engine spacer is 5.5" OD x 4.5" ID round 6061 Aluminum with Twelve (12) 5/16-20 bolts supporting the engine to the mounting plate and the engine spacer to the gearbox.
All four gears are 1/2"+ thick, heat treated for long life, if not a Life Time. 

The Mid 60 tooth gear is Heat Treated and has Six lighting holes to move the grease to the other gears.

The 1" output shaft has a SOLID Heat Treated 60 tooth gear, 20PA-16DP and has a over sized 1/4" x 1/4" x 1/2" key way.

The 7/8" Clutch Rotor has Six steel shoes, 3/16" key way.

The 4" Clutch Drum has a 9/16-18 right hand thread.
